Got your message a day late. I’ve now missed direct observation of the transit of Venus for my foreseeable current lifetime. I did think nice thoughts about it yesterday, though, and enjoyed indirect observation via all the various musings and postings about the event that flashed across the computer screen. …and I once read a book about Captain Cook, which helps me feel like an indirect observer of the event through time.

I enjoyed the history part but the actual viewing of the sun is too extreme for my knowledge, better let the pros show the process.
I would like to see some activity on your telescope one evening since your the only person I know with one.
