“Cat’s-eye”

About a decade ago my neighbor took me down to 2nd Street Guitars to help him decide on buying a vintage Gretsch Synchromatic 400 Guitar. I don’t think I was much help but I’m glad he bought it. This great shop was short lived, but info on the owner can be found here :

Jeff had also taken me to one of the best vintage guitar shows in the late 90’s that I haven’t seen since in town. The vintage Gibson J45’s really made an impression on me. There was alot of beautiful old wood and a candy store of sound.
Wish I had photographed that show and Allens shop! I remember in the 2nd Street Guitars window were parts of the first Martin, maybe the model Mark Twain owned? I also remember Allen telling us Richard Gere that was filming a movie in town had bought one his old Gibsons.
