MODIGLIANI

I read “MODIGLIAN The Pure Bohemian” by June Rose during my week in the mountains. This is a drawing of the cover of the Catalogue Of Modigliani’s one-man exhibition at Galerie B. Weill, 1917. I’ve imbedded my favorite photo of the artist into to it. The exhibition was banned because of the nudes before it even opened. Back in the late 70’s I’ll never forget seeing 2 of the 1917 nudes I believe in New York City and was somewhat embarrassed that I couldn’t stop looking at them, what powerful work! I love all the modern art from this period that was enjoyed similar to the way we watch DVD’s now for viewing pleasure.
