Virginia Mahogany

I know that mahogany is not suppose to be native to Virginia but my friend from Beaverdam has one in his yard and hasn’t been proven otherwise.

Rodney on my 1979 Motobecane that I gave him. I think these two pictures are the tree. I just made a chess table out of a broken up mahogany table I found in an alley. I hadn’t worked with it since I built my flat top guitar the D-O3. Rodney gave me a log big enough to get a guitar neck out of for our friend John M.

    That log is drying in the garage now, and I’ll resaw it when I get back home. Maybe we can solve this mystery.
