Went searching for exposed trolley tracks in town which is pending and ran across this. Today’s light reminds me of Alexander Gardner panoramas shot of Richmond from Pratts Castle after the city was in ruin.
Finding trolley tracks are harder than I imagined. I found a map of the Richmond Traction Co. online that I was using but these tracks on Crane St. I’m afraid are just freight tracks leading from the old C&O depot that was on Broad near this area. The public library had one copy of a wonderful book “RAILS IN RICHMOND” by Carlton Norris McKenny (1986) that is a real gem. Like the Maury bio I read last year this is written really well.

The light today was amazing alright and I did not have my camera, nor could I get out of work!! Bloody Run….where exactly is this located?
More pending, had to watch the final HOUSE and retire for evening :

I’ve been there……….
everything looks green.
p.s. I should have had you under a bridge to improve the acoustics with some natural reverb. That is a beautiful song and great tribute for your mom. God bless her soul!
