I was chasing clouds but shot Arthur and tower in the hard light anyway. The sun is more kind to the statue later in the day. If I lived at the beach I would be doing one of those 365 day photo deals with Neptune. Haven’t had the time to figure out the light on Neptune either because all who I travel with haven’t had the patience to just hang out with a statue. Maybe I should take my miniature Neptune and do pictures like they did the dads Gnome in Amelie, (chuckle)?

2012 Dragon
After seeing the Dragon in the parade this year I have been keeping my eye out for them. Not as easy as you would think to run across, guess that makes it fun. Tried to find an official poster for the new year and I suppose this stamp is the best example?
Below are a collection of Onsen photographs from the web. During this time of year for my friends with aches in pains this should be a treat! Here is a great WORDPRESS sight with more :

Magnificent
I love Wes Freed’s art because it portrays our America’s as still a romantic, folksy, wilderness.
There was probably more light in a city alley, reminded me of the Thirsty Camel. Some great Honky Tonk music!
Barry’s recent composition moved me so and I was able to find some editing software that allowed me to combine clips of my Dancing Madwoman friend.
Raqs Luminaire 2012
Enjoyed the show from the balcony and ended up filming instead of still shots, know my limitations. GREAT SHOW! This panorama was taken before the show started. It was a much larger audience.
The light in the Lobby was incredible. Tried to get these with out a tripod.

Not one to give up I’m working on some screen captures before I have chance to edit video……

It’s a Dogs World

Shot at a local gas station. I’ve been trying to force myself to shoot in 16:9 and in black & white. I’ve been thinking outside of the frame too long doing panoramas. This is a cropped 16:9 though…….

This happened around noon today, so much for not shooting color which my good camera won’t or in 16:9 format.
