I had rescued this Electrolux Model 30 (XXX) vacuum cleaner (circa 1937) from a pile in the street many years ago. The design of the tank (designed by Lurelle Guild) itself has become an icon — the model “30″ is now considered to be the highest elevation of the “art” of tank type vacuum design. A model XXX is displayed in the Smithsonian.
